UBT454 Provide Superficial Chemical Skin Peeling Treatments

Key Learning Outcomes & Competencies:

• Advanced Skin Science & Pathology: Deepen your understanding of skin histology, the depth of peel penetration, and the skin’s wound-healing and inflammatory response.

• Chemical Peel Chemistry: Master the properties, actions, and pH levels of various peeling agents (such as AHAs, BHAs, and specialized compound formulations).

• Client Assessment & Safety: Learn rigorous skin typing, patch testing, precise pre- and post-peel care protocols, and how to manage contra-actions effectively.

• Clinical Mastery: Gain hands-on competence in delivering targeted, results-driven peeling treatments tailored to individual client skin profiles.

All mandatory units must be completed.

• • Practical Observations: You will demonstrate your treatment techniques on live clients in the salon while being directly observed and graded by your tutor.

  • Portfolio of Evidence: You will compile a personal portfolio containing your practical logs, written assignments, and theory tasks to show you meet all course requirements.

  • Internal Quality Checks: An internal assessor will regularly review your portfolio and practical work to ensure your grades are fair, accurate, and consistent.

  • External Verification: An official VTCT external moderator will visit the academy to review portfolios, check training standards, and confirm your qualification approval.

  • Record of Assessment Logbook: You will track your progress alongside your assessor in an official logbook, documenting every completed unit until your diploma is fully signed off.

The primary purpose of this qualification is to prepare learners for employment or self-employment in the beauty aesthetic industry providing superficial skin peeling treatments. Additionally, learners may choose to further develop their knowledge and skills by completing additional specialist qualifications at Level 5 and 6, including:
• VTCT Skills (ITEC) Level 5 Award in Radio Frequency and Skin Needling Techniques
• VTCT Skills (ITEC) Level 6 Award in Mesotherapy Treatments

Course dates:
Open enrolment throughout the year, allowing students to join at any time. Online e-learning platform will be accessible prior the practical training days, our courses are run on a rolling schedule. Registration and exam Fee:
The registration fee and exam fees is not included in the course fee. Additional fees of £150 – 300 varies according to course qualification.

The course price includes:
Practical assessments and assignment submissions. For charges relating to additional training/assessments please refer to our terms and conditions.

Booking Fee:
A non-refundable booking fee of 20% of the course fee is required to confirm your place on the course. The remaining amount can be paid as a single payment or in 3 or 4 interest free instalments at four week intervals. Please read our terms and conditions prior to course payment plan.

Entry Requirements:
Students who wish to complete a qualification must ensure that their meet the entry requirement.

On-line Learning Platform:
Once enrolled, students are provided access to our online learning portal with access to theory and reading materials. To successfully complete the course, students must complete homework assignments and pass practical assessments.

Certification:
This is an OFQUAL regulated course; the awarding body is VTCT/ITEC

Insurance:
We work with a range of insurance companies to enable our students to obtain public liability insurance. We advise students to check insurance cover prior to booking any course with us.
