The VTCT Skills Level 2 Certificate in Nail Technology is a qualification that has been specifically designed to develop your practical skills in: how to provide and maintain nail enhancements and manicure treatments.

To further enhance your practical skills you will have the opportunity to choose from the following practical units: how to provide nail art and pedicure treatments.

Underpinning this qualification you will develop a sound knowledge of health and safety practices in a salon environment and how to promote client care and communications in beauty related sectors. You will also develop an underpinning knowledge and understanding of the practical skills learned throughout this qualification.

The purpose of this qualification is to develop your skills in nail technology to a high level of occupational ability, to enable you to perform your own salon services.

The legislations referred to within this qualification apply to UK learners. For learners outside of the UK, you should familiarise yourself with legislations that may apply to you.

External quality assurers. (any requirements will be shown in the unit)

Externally assessed question papers completed electronically will be set and marked by VTCT Skills. Externally assessed hard-copy question papers will be set by VTCT Skills, marked by centre staff and sampled by VTCT Skills external quality assurers.

Cynthia Gardier, the Principal herself did the meticulous Mesotherapy treatment for me under Dr. Dahlia's instructions. I was so lucky to have 2 PhDs (Dermatologist) working on my face! Couldn't have asked for any better!! This could only be the best! So I just surrendered myself to flow with the bliss of the knowing of Cynthia's expert heavenly hands, with her long track record of an acclaimed illustrious career. I started my level 2 course in beauty therapy at this school. I was not wrong in my choice. I have just started but Cynthia is really polite and professional. When I show signs of not understanding, she explains things thoroughly until I understand. I respect her. I am looking forward to attending this school again in the future. She was always super professional, polite and patient given we were studying through a pandemic and were all finding our way through it. Writing this review from a student perspective (2019).... DISCLAIMER: This review isn't intended to "bash" the place but rather to just share my honest review as a student here so perspective students can know EXACTLY what they are getting themselves into and can make an informed decision on whether to attend this "beauty academy". To put it frankly... I did not enjoy my time here at all and it was unbelievably stressful !! I will NEVER step foot in the place again and just thank God I made it out alive and got my qualification. Unprofessional and EXTREMELY unorganised since my first day starting the course all the way until the very end. They are money and not student/craft orientated and just care about your course fees. Teachers are not officially qualified, some cannot read or speak English properly, and some are teaching things that are untrue/wrong (Tutor:Alek) - especially when it comes to anatomy and physiology (verified by medical professionals that a lot of what we were bring taught by tutor was rubbish and untrue). Owners are VERY VERY VERY rude to you and make your experience there feel overall very uncomfortable and unecessarily stressful. The way they speak/treat you you'd think they were the ones paying you to be there. Cynthia in particular was very rude and made me feel very uneasy. I read the really bad reviews before coming here but it was very local and very cheap so I decided to take the risk. I guess you get what you pay for! If you can afford to study elsewhere PLEASE avoid this place at all costs. And as a customer, I wouldnt trust any treatments that they're offering as the hygiene was very poor seeing inside the salon (Bow) as a student (often had to bring in my own clean sponges and skin products) and I imagine the lasers and other products they use aren't the best quality either, including their own branded products they are trying to push which appear to be cheap/basic private label products they've just plastered their name on. Good luck if you decide to study at this academy. You'll need it!!

Really enjoyed doing level 2 and 3. The owners of the school are very professional but also human at the same time. The course is quite intense as it is a lot of theory and practice, but they make it sure you leave their school with the proper practice and understanding of this industry. I am doing my level 4 with them , and I will come back to visit them as they know a lot about the industry and they are friendly. long life to ELBA !!!

Cynthia santos and aleks are very nice teachers however the college is abit unorganized, they dont teach you any theory in class (you have to study from the moodle by yourself) and barely mention what will be in the exam... and because they are unorganized you find that people are late for classes holding the class back etc... For me it was okay because i had background knowledge already and they are nice understanding teachers however quality of education isnt really there... its not bad for the price though, its one of the cheapest i could find.
