These modules are completed at your own pace through the Guild’s online learning platform. They ensure you have the scientific, legal, and professional background to work safely.

2. Professional Standards(Often included for free with your first GTi course) Health and Safety legislation, hygiene, sanitation, sterilisation methods, professional ethics, and insurance requirements.
3. Anatomy & PhysiologyDetailed A&P of the hand and forearm, including bones, muscles, blood supply, and the lymphatic system relevant to massage.
4. Nail ScienceThe structure and composition of the natural nail and surrounding skin (fingers and cuticles).
5. Contra-actions & Contra-indicationsIdentifying conditions that prevent a treatment (e.g., fungal infections, severe cuts) and conditions that restrict a treatment (e.g., small cuts, skin irritations), and how to adapt or refuse service safely.

Once the online theory and examination are successfully completed, you attend a practical training day with a GTi-accredited tutor, focusing on the hands-on routine.
