The Aim of the Skin Rejuvenation Diploma in Laser and Light Treatments is to provide learners with the necessary theory and practical skills so that they can provide Laser and Light Treatments.
 
Course requirements: ITEC Level 2 beauty Therapy Diploma or NVQ Level 2 and 3

con info What is Skin Rejuvenation


Skin Rejuvenation using intense pulsed light treatments is a method which is safe, gentle fast andeffective. This is a clinically proven technological treatment which offers the most non invasive solution to skin rejuvenation. Skin rejuvenation will help to smooth the appearance of fine lines, tighten enlarged pores, lighten pigmentation, reduce redness, improve vascular conditions, softens scars and heal active acne.

Intense pulsed light will repair the damage caused by the sun and aging, by increasing the production of the skin’s collagen and elastin. 

The student will be taught both the theory and practical aspects of Skin rejuvenation and after completion will be awarded with a Certificate from ITEC.

con info  How will I be Assessed on this course


This qualification will be internally and externally assessed using the assessment of skills. Once all of the treatment evidence documentation, assignments and underpinning knowledge have been completed the learner will have a final practical examination carried out by the ITEC Examiner, who will also verify a sample of all treatment evidence documentation and assignments.

All Candidates will be examined via a practical examination of their technical skills and treatments techniques Treatment evidence. Evidence of 5 Treatments to include: 

  1. Consultation including medical history
  2. Fitzpatrick test
  3. Treatment details
  4. Reaction during treatment (Include photographs of before and after treatment) After/Home care advice
  5. Candidates and Client signature
  6. Treatment date

con info  How will my Qualification be Graded


  • Learners must achieve a pass grade in all units to achieve the ITEC Level 4 Diploma in Advanced Skincare (see assessment table above)
  • It is the aggregate of all units that forms the overall grade of the qualification – Pass, Merit or Distinction
  • Assignments and treatment evidence documentation are graded pass or refer.
  • If a learner is unsuccessful in any area, they will be re-assessed only in the unit(s) where they were referred
  • Referrals must be completed within one year of the original assessment. The remainder of the candidate’s results will stay in the ITEC system until all aspects of each unit have been allocated a pass grade.

 This diploma qualifies graduates to operate their own salon. Graduates can also gain employment in Beauty Salons, Hotels, Health Clubs, Spas and Cruise Liners
