East London Beauty Academy are running a selection of Make Up classes designed to give you advance knowledge and information with quick tips and tricks that will give you the ability to get that great look and feel. We have a number of Make Up classes that learners can attend and the advantage is that learners can experience what the different types of make up can achieve and choose which one or all of the make up techniques they would wish to focus on.

What will I learn on a Makeup Course? make up demonstration

In our 3 Days class you Can choose the Make up class you would like to develope your skills, and learn how to apply Make Up as a professional Make Up Artist.  

  • Primer: Smooth out skin by filling tiny pores and wrinkles 
    lip gloss,lip liner,lip plumper,lip balm, lip stain, lip conditioner, lip primer, lip boosters, and lip butters:
  • Concealer: Covers imperfections of the skin. 
  • Foundation: Used to smooth out the face and cover spots, acne and blemishes or uneven skin coloration. 
  • Face powder: Sets the foundation, giving it amattefinish, and to conceal small flaws or blemishes. 
  • Rouge: Blush or blusheris cheek coloring to bring out the color in thecheeksand make thecheekbonesappear more defined. 
  • Contour powder/creams: Used to define the face. 
  • Highlight: Used to draw attention to the high points of the face as well as to add glow.  
  • Bronzer: Gives skin a bit of color by adding a golden or bronze glow and highlighting the cheekbones, as well as being used for contouring. 
  • Mascara: Used to darken, lengthen, thicken, or draw attention to the eyelashes. 
  • Eyeliner: Used to enhance and elongate the size of the eye. 
  • Eyebrow pencils: Creams,waxes, gels and powders are used to color, fill in and define the brows.
  • Setting spray: Used as the last step in the process of applying makeup. 
  • False Eyelashes: Frequently used when extravagant and exaggerated eyelashes are desired.

Yes you will receive a East London Beauty Academy Make up Masters Certificate

Can I get Insurance to work with this 3 Day Class?

The 3 Day Class is designed to give you a greater understanding of some of the fundamentals of make Up.  Yes you can get insurance once completing The Guild registration and on-line Theory work. Or you can attend our 5 Day Make up Level 2 course you will receive a Level 2 Certificate Accredited by VTCT this will then enable you to receive insurance to work on the public as a Professional Make up Artist.

As a  Make Up Artist you can seek jobs in:

  • Body and Face Painting Art: can be displayed on the human body and many design and apply body paint from clowns to child face painting

  • The Theatre:  Theatre makeup requires a particular skill set for a makeup professional. makeup is necessary to create the look desired by the director and be visible from a long distance. artists must also be skilled in the complete appearance, including wigs and facial hair.

  • Television: Makeup artists in this field brings actors to life on the television and is considered the fastest growing market.

  • Film and Movies: In addition to the basic makeup applications for the stars on the big screen, makeup experts also create the amazing special effects audiences expect in movies today. Makeup techniques in film require a complete understanding of the whole body to transform the average actor into a werewolf or elderly widow, depending on the needs of the producer. The skill to mystify, trick and re-create are essential.

  • Personal Services

    Artists can be hired to perform special occasion makeup like a wedding or family photo shoot. They also help teach techniques and work with patients who have unusual scars or deformities.
